Designer Frames

As an independent practice we have the wonderful advantage of time, so we take as much time as is needed to help you choose your perfect frame. We cater for all tastes and if you can’t find what you’re looking for we have the ability to order more! We want you to look your best and we understand that choosing frames is a very personal decision.

When choosing frames the most important aspect is that the frame is suitable for your prescription, that it fits perfectly and is comfortable. We take time to keep up to date with new trends and each frame is handpicked by our expert team in store.

We stock specialist frames such as Silhouette Rimless frames and Flexon flexible frames. We carry well known brands such as RayBan, Oakley, William Morris, Landrover and Ana Hickman.

If designer frames are not what you are after we also offer various other ranges to suit every budget and every face, with a range of frames starting from €75 (including single vision lenses)

There are so many options available when it comes to lenses, and our expert team will guide you through which lenses will best suit your needs based on your lifestyle and visual requirements. We keep up to date with the newest developments in lens technology through regular training. We will advise you on the latest developments in the following:

Lighter and Thinner Lenses

Hi-Index lenses are made from materials which allow the lenses to be lightweight and thinner. If your prescription is strong then Hi-index lenses will improve the finish on your lenses and make them feel more comfortable for full time wear.

Varifocals are the modern alternative to Bifocals (which have a visible line). They are a multifocal lens which means a patient can see at all distances. They are normally advised to people over 40 years of age as this is the stage when we develop different prescriptions for different tasks as our natural lens changes.

Anti-reflective Lenses

Anti-reflective coated lenses reduce reflections and glare from artificial lighting. They work best for computer screens and driving and improve the overall clarity and finish of the lens. These coatings may also have the added benefits of anti-scratch, anti-dust and are water repellent.

Transitions lenses are clear indoors and adjust to the light outdoors. They eliminate the effects of glare and eye fatigue. They are constantly improving and change much more quickly now than ever before. They are available in Brown or Grey and provide 100% UV protection, helping to reduce the incidence of Macular Degeneration and Cataracts.
